WHAT ARE THE INTRODUCTORY SKIN PEELS?

The SkinCeuticals® Gel Peels, Mesoestetic®Lactic Meso Peel, Fruit Enzyme Peel treatments are suitable for all skin type and entry level peel without any preparation! Using medical strength actives and less than an hour a PDP Peel works skin deep to return skin to its normal function and increase cell optimisation.

SkinCeuticals® offers light and medium chemical peels, including the Gel Peel GL for first time candidates.

SkinCeuticals® Gel Peels are an excellent adjunct to microdermabrasion or IPL; and are ideal for those people who want to `prep` their skin prior to a more invasive peel. As they are a light peel they also have no down-time.

They freshen up the face and can help to treat acne, break down hyperpigmentation (areas of darker pigment or brown patches in the skin), dry skin, fine lines and wrinkles, photodamage, rough texture and ageing skin.

Pregnant, breastfeeding women or those already on a peeling programme, or using retinol products.

PEEL PROGRAM

2 weeks prior to the peel, a patch test is carried out and you will start using Skinceuticals C+AHA Antioxidant Serum morning OR night-time.

It is recommended that a course of 6 peels (1 per week) is undertaken. Thereafter, once a month for maintenance is ideal.

Those going on a course of Skinceuticals peels should also be using a topical antioxidant serum containing AHAs (fruit acids) and a broad-spectrum sunscreen to get the full benefits of the peel.

Alternatively, you can use one of the AHA products within the range – i.e. Intense Line Defense. As the peel is a correcting procedure you will need to use products which will prevent the new healthy skin cells being exposed to sun damage, which can counteract the benefit of the peel and result in future photo-damage problems.

REPORTED SIDE EFFECTS

According to the manufacturer there are no reported side effects apart from initial mild redness and peeling that may occur following treatment. 

MESOESTETIC 30% LACTIC MESOPEEL (All Skin Types)

Lactic acid peel that stimulates production of new collagen and glycosaminoglycans, components of the dermal matrix. It has a natural moisturizing effect on the skin as a result of attracting water molecules to the stratum corneum, stimulating ceramide synthesis and enhancing and modulating the barrier function.

Indicated for sensitive, dry and thinning skin and delicate areas such as the neck and décolleté due to being highly tolerated by skin.

Mesoestetic Lactic Peel combines all the properties of this acid into an anti-aging peel which softens contours, reduces solar damage, improves texture, skin tone/aspect and generally activates collagen and elastin formation likewise other dermis substances.

Mesoestetic lactic peel increases production of ceramides via keratinocytes, to hydrate the skins corneum layer and prevents it’s dehydration forming a barrier. Furthermore, it contributes to skin exfoliation accelerating cell renewal. Lactic acids whitening properties help achieve a more uniform skin tone, reducing blemishes of melanic origin. Particularly suited to flaky skins and/or those displaying early signs of wrinkles and skin aging.

Lactic peels are derived from sour milk and are suitable for even the most sensitive skin types, with high hydration power. Indicated for the treatment of fine lines, wrinkles and skin photo-aging.

FRUIT ENZYME PEEL  (All Skin Types)

This antioxidant exfoliating enzyme peel is the perfect peel for first timers, suitable for all skin types, especially the sun damaged and pre aged skin. This is the perfect introductory peel, suitable for all skin types, even the most sensitive skin to renew and boost hydration.

The Multi-fruit BSC, Lactic acid and jojoba Esters hydrate are gentle yet effective and helps to encourage cellular renewal, boosts hydrate, repair and reduce inflammations.

This peel can also be added as an upgrade to intensify our other treatments.
