Cosmetic aesthetic treatments are a non-invasive, quick, affordable, and effective way to help reduce and prevent lines formation, improve shape and symmetry, and create volume and fullness.

Ready to make an appointment for this treatment?

As we age, we start to lose volume in certain areas of the face which can make us look tired and sunken. This is caused by the body’s decreased ability to produce collagen and elastin.

Unlike wrinkles which require muscle relaxants to soften them, facial volume and folds require a hyaluronic acid product to help re-volumise and hydrate the area.

Made from a natural sugar already present in the human body – our cosmetic aesthetic products are an affordable way to replicate the function of this naturally occurring substance and can restore fullness and volume in numerous facial areas.

The most common side effects occur within 24 hours or immediately post-treatment. These include swelling, bruising, redness, and tenderness. Immediate side effects usually disappear within days. However, depending on the type of Dermal Filler used, it can take a few weeks.

We encourage a complimentary follow-up appointment 2 weeks post-treatment to discuss your tailored treatment results.

What is Profhilo?

Profhilo is a aesthetics Hyaluronic acid treatment rapidly rising in popularity. You may already be familiar with topical hyaluronic acid, as it is very common in the skincare and beauty industries, and for good reason! Hyaluronic acid is a naturally occurring molecule in the body, which can hold up to 1000 times its weight in water, making it especially moisturising and hydrating. When applied to the skin surface, hyaluronic acid makes skin look and feel younger and moisturised, reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Profhilo takes these benefits a step further by using a pure, concentrated hyaluronic acid gel into the skin with a very thin needle to stimulate dermal cells, increasing skin elasticity and collagen formation – restoring firmness to the skin from within.

What are the benefits of Profhilo?

Profhilo is basically an aesthetic moisturiser. By introducing the hyaluronic acid directly into the skin, hydration is promoted from within to create a healthy glow and improved skin appearance. Profhilo also produces longer term benefits by remodelling the production of new collagen, which results in firmer, younger looking skin with an improved surface texture. Profhilo can also help to reduce the appearance of rosacea and photoaged skin. Because of these results, Profhilo has rapidly risen in popularity to become one of the most popular anti-ageing treatments available, and can be used anywhere that may show visible signs of ageing, including the face, neck, chest, arms, hands, and legs.

How does Profhilo work?

While Profhilo contains the same active molecule – hyaluronic acid –  found in skin care creams and many other aesthetic treatments, not all hyaluronic acids are created equally. The chemistry is deep and complex, but put simply, hyaluronic acid molecules of different molecular weights produce different effects and results. Profhilo contains both low and high molecular weight Hyaluronic acid molecules. The lower weight hyaluronic acids are readily absorbed and have a regenerative effect, while the higher weight hyaluronic acids remain in the skin for longer, and retain water to reduce skin sagging. The hyaluronic acids also stimulate dermal cells to produce more collagen. The body will naturally break down the Profhilo fully in about a month, but the new collagen will remain to keep skin looking younger. For the best results, two treatments are recommended one month apart. Continued treatments after a further six months can help prolong the benefits.

How is Profhilo different from other aesthetic products?

While both aesthetic products and Profhilo contain hyaluronic acid, other aesthetic products also contain BDDE (1,4-butanediol diglycidyl) – cross linking molecules which hold the hyaluronic acid molecules together, to give the aesthetic products their structure and prevent or slow the rate at which the hyaluronic acid is broken down by the body. As a result, other aesthetic products typically last for months to years. Profhilo however, is 100% pure hyaluronic acid and contains no BDDE cross linking molecules. Instead, it is stabilised by weaker hydrogen bonds, allowing the body to easily break it down after about 4 weeks, only leaving behind the new collagen formed and a more youthful appearance. Profhilo and other aesthetic products also differ in how they are administered and what they are used to treat. Other aesthetic products are typically used into specific areas of the face to create definition and volume in that area, with very little spreading to the rest of the face. Other aesthetic products are usually used to counteract the volume lost due to the ageing process. Profhilo is designed and intended to spread out evenly from the aesthetic site to improve the appearance of the whole face, without altering facial features, by improving skin hydration, elasticity, and texture.

Is Profhilo suitable for me?

If you feel your skin is showing visible signs of ageing like dehydration, dullness, and a loss of elasticity, you will definitely benefit from Profhilo treatments! Profhilo is also safe to use in conjunction with other aesthetic products and smooth facial line aesthetic treatment (Type A) . A consultation with one of our cosmetic injector would be required to ensure there are no contraindications.

What is the Downtime from Profhilo?

Profhilo treatments have very little downtime after treatment. You may experience small raised bumps at the aesthetic sites which should disappear within 24 hours after treatment. It is recommended that you avoid exercise for 24 hours and do not use a steam room or sauna for a few days after treatment. You should also avoid the use of retinol, vitamin C serums, or any other products which could irritate your skin for 24 hours.

Is Profhilo safe?

Yes! Profhilo is safe and TGA & FDA approved, and because hyaluronic acid is naturally produced by the body, Profhilo is highly biocompatible and there are minimal side effects other than slight inflammation at the aesthetic site. Profhilo should only be administered by qualified aestheticians, and you should consult our cosmetic injector if you have any health concerns before getting the treatment.

Restylane®

Restylane® has hyaluronic acid. Some versions of the product line, such as Restylane Lyft, include lidocaine as well. This type of dermal product is sometimes used around the eyes, as well as on the back of the hands. It’s also used to smooth lines around the mouth, enhance the lips, and add lift and volume to the cheeks.

Restylane® duration

Restylane® aesthetic treatment can take between 15 and 60 minutes for each session. This is standard for aesthetic dermal treatment in general. While you might see some results right away, you may not see the full effects for up to a few days after the procedure.

Restylane® results

Restylane® takes slightly longer to take full effect, but you’ll start seeing results almost immediately. These types of aesthetic dermal products can last from 6 to 18 months.

While Restylane® is used to treat the same areas of the face as Juvéderm, it tends to work particularly well for the lips as well as the folds around the nose and cheeks.

Rejuran Skin Treatment

What is Rejuran?

Rejuran is one of the newest skinboosters to have been approved for use in Australia. It contains Polynucleotides derived from salmon DNA as the active ingredient, and has rejuvenating properties for the skin. Polynucleotides are biological molecules that play a role in tissue repair and regeneration. It has a wide range of effects when injected directly into the skin including stimulation of cellular activity and growth factors leading to stimulation of collagen, improvement in skin elasticity and repair of the damaged and ageing skin from within.

What is Rejuran Used For?

There are three Rejuran products currently available in Australia: Rejuran Healer, Rejuran i, and Rejuran S. All three products contain the same active ingredient (polynucleotide) but come in various viscosity.

  • Rejuran Healer is used for whole face rejuvenation to improve fine lines, skin texture, skin tone, and to reduce the effects of ageing and sun damage.
  •
  • Rejuran I is a lower viscosity product that is used for more delicate skin such as the skin around the eyes to address crepiness, wrinkles and dark circles.
  •
  • Rejuran S is a higher viscosity product used to improve the appearance of scars and acne marks.

Results

Many patients notice initial improvement in skin texture, elasticity, and overall appearance within a few weeks after their 2nd session. These results continue to improve over the following months.

  • First session: Improved hydration of the skin
  • Second session: Improvement in skin elasticity
  • Third session: Reduced fine lines

How Many Treatments Do I Need?

In general, we encourage 2-3 initial treatments 2-4 weeks apart, and repeat as needed (as our skin continues to age) which for some may be 6 monthly, or for others 12 monthly.

It is important to find a skilled and experienced provider who is able to deliver the product into the accurate layer of the skin as maximal visible results are achieved when the product is delivered precisely into the intradermal layer of the skin.

Post Treatment Care: What Not to Do After Rejuran

  • Avoid touching or rubbing the treated area immediately after treatment as it could potentially introduce bacteria or irritate the injection sites.
  •
  • Light makeup can be applied 24 hours post treatment but avoid heavy makeup that can irritate the skin for 3-4 days until the skin has settled down from multiple injection sites.
  •
  • Avoid using products containing retinoids or other potentially irritating ingredients until redness or swelling has subsided post treatment.
  •
  • Avoid taking blood thinning medications (e.g. buprofen, aspirin) or supplements (e.g. fish oil, vitamin E) for 3-4 days before treatment and for another 24-48 hrs post Rejuran injections, as they can increase the risk of bruising or bleeding at the injection sites.
  •

It is important to consult with your Rejuran provider for personal post treatment instructions tailored to your specific needs and circumstances.

Lipolysis Treatment

Lipolysis Treatment  is a procedure where a substance is injected directly into undesired fat deposits. This active substance is a natural compound made from soybean along with an enzyme for breaking down fat. The body uses these substances especially in the field of fat metabolism. Injection lipolysis chemically reduces the number of fat cells around the injection site. The chemical, called deoxycholic acid, results in fat cell disruption and death. Currently, it is FDA-approved for treatment of the area underneath the chin to eliminate what is known as a “double chin.” A commonly known type of injection lipolysis is Kybella®.

Reasons patients want injection lipolysis

Nonsurgical candidates and patients interested in a nonsurgical approach to reducing the fat beneath the chin may be interested in injection lipolysis.

Who is not a candidate for injection lipolysis?

Patients with loose skin or poor tone may not be suitable candidates for the procedure.

Does injection lipolysis require anesthesia?

This procedure can be done under local anesthesia, which is injected into the treatment area beneath the chin.

Injection lipolysis procedure

After the local anesthesia has been injected, a precise amount of medication is injected in a grid pattern that has been pre-marked on the skin beneath the chin. The medication is injected as a single treatment.

What are the risks of injection lipolysis?

Complications are uncommon and include nerve injury that can result in an uneven smile. In rare instances, patients have also reported difficulty swallowing after the procedure.

Recovering from injection lipolysis

There is no downtime, but patients may experience swelling, bruising, pain, redness and feel areas of hardness that typically soften with time. Fat reduction is typically visible by eight weeks.

What are the results of injection lipolysis?

Most patients have at least two treatments spaced four to six weeks apart, which is the typical duration of swelling. Patients can have up to six treatments to the area under the chin. Your plastic surgeon can develop a plan that best suits your individual anatomy. During the period of swelling the area can look fuller than it did before treatment, but as the fat cells are disrupted and the inflammation subsides, most patients see results by 6 to 8 weeks after a treatment. Unless a patient were to gain weight, the results should be long-lasting.

Dermal aesthetic products can last up to three to six months and in some cases longer depending on how fast the body metabolises the product. Lips are a high activity area as we use them all the time, this can impact how long the results will last.

The most common side effects occur within 24 hours or immediately post-treatment. These include swelling, bruising, redness, and tenderness.

Immediate side effects usually disappear within days. However, depending on the type of dermal aesthetic product used, it can take a few weeks. At BeautyPlus+ Laser Clinic we strongly encourage a review appointment which is complimentary 2 weeks post-treatment to discuss your treatment results.

Dermal aesthetic treatment feel like a slight pinch, and you may experience slight pressure or a ‘stinging’ sensation as the product is being injected. pain is such a personal and subjective thing. it all depends on your tolerance and on the treatment area.

We do not offer to dissolve dermal aesthetic products if you were treated outside of our clinic. If you wish to dissolve dermal aesthetic products you received at BeautyPlus+ Laser Clinic, you must book a review with our Doctor/Cosmetic Injector.

Avoid vigorous physical activity or any large intakes of alcohol for 24 hours as this increases the risk of bruising. Aspirin, Vitamin E and Fish Oil Supplement should not be taken one week before the treatment.

As with any BeautyPlus+ Laser Clinic treatment, our dermal aesthetic treatments come with important after-care recommendations in order to achieve the best results. Our experienced medical team share their post-treatment advice:

– Remain upright for four hours following your treatment and avoid lying down while the product settles into place.

– Avoid any Skin Treatments like Hydradermabrasion, Skin Needling, or Dermal Rolling for two weeks after dermal aesthetic treatments.

– Avoid active skincare products such as Retinol for at least 5 days after the treatment.

– Avoid alcohol and painkillers such as ibuprofen before and after treatment as they tend to thin the blood and can make you prone to bruising.

– Do not exercise for 24 hours after your treatment and avoid any exercise that involves inverted poses (e.g. yoga, pilates, barre, etc) and provoke sweating as the dermal aesthetic product is settling into place.

– Avoid exposing your skin to excessive heat or cold including saunas, spas, steam rooms, hot yoga, ice baths, or skiing. Changes in temperature can lead you to touch or rub your face more which can put unwanted pressure on the treated muscles, risking dispersion of the protein into unwanted areas.

– Avoid massaging or applying pressure to the face which can affect how the product settles in a particular area. When cleansing the skin and applying skincare and makeup, only use gentle strokes.

No. While dermal aesthetic products do stretch the skin slightly to fill into the tissues, it does not have a lasting effect on the skin itself. Your skin will return to its original state when the product metabolises.

Avoid international travel for 2 weeks post-treatment. The prolonged cabin air pressure can cause unpredictable swelling and bruising.

Whilst we have seen amazing results from the treatment, please know that results do vary and we cannot make guarantees. We recommend coming and speaking to our clinic injectors for an in-depth consultation. They will discuss in detail how the treatment works, whether it will be right for your skin type and the expected results in line with your treatment goals.
